Audition Tip: 1

Always look your best! This may sound like a simple request and it should be common sense.....BUT you would not believe how many people show up to auditions in their work uniforms, in sweats...or ladies with no makeup and hair not done properly. Especially in the smaller markets...It's unbelievable! Obviously, you want to make a great 1st impression, so why not make an effort to look your best? If you have enough info ahead of time, you should try to dress according to the role you're auditioning for. If that's not feasible, then make sure your hair is done and you have makeup on...guys make sure your clean cut and well groomed. But give some thought into your clothing selection. For instance, if it's a music video, then the dress is usually sexy club wear (clothes that you would wear out to a night club). Now if it's a grocery store commercial, then you probably want to be business casual...not urban casual. When it doubt, business casual is usually the best way to go. One of the worse things you can do is come with these fabulous head shots that look nothing like you. Please try to be just as fabulous in person!
